After “With a Blessing Rather Than Love Said Nietzsche” By Adrienne Rich

Measuring my morality as a compass thrown up high
A directional needle beckoning my point of perception
Beyond the clouds pressuring Gods assume interjection
As presumptions loom over my transgressions where I
Reside, this needle of truth lighting my path when choices
Become obscure and grey covers goodness and night
Blinded and confused my moral boundaries are tested
Resting against the backdrop of my faithful pointed
Perceptions living behind pressured clouds of justice
As a form of atonement living in this compass of morality
When moral conflict arises in our lives and conviction
Is unclear only in trust our blind faith will let us heal
Feel our paths through conflicted choices with answers
We simply cannot know of grey coloring our lives
End
